Formerly known as the Hemby Bridge Athletic Association, the club rebranded after partnering with the Porter Ridge school cluster, aligning its identity with the pirate-themed schools in the area. This strategic collaboration has enabled PRSC to flourish, now offering three distinct developmental pathways: Recreation, Academy, and Classic Soccer.
What sets Porter Ridge apart, however, isn't just their comprehensive programming—it's their commitment to visual identity as an extension of their values. The club's recent partnership with Admiral Sportswear has produced a collection that goes beyond standard team uniforms, creating a visual narrative that resonates with players, families, and the broader soccer community.
Creating a Unique Visual Identity
Admiral's approach with Porter Ridge began not with templates, but with a blank canvas. "Every club has a unique story to tell," explains an Admiral design team member. "Our process starts by immersing ourselves in the club's history, values, and community connections."
This philosophy led to a fully customized design process for Porter Ridge. Unlike many apparel companies that offer minor modifications to stock designs, Admiral guaranteed the club completely unique kits that wouldn't be replicated elsewhere. This exclusivity ensures that when Porter Ridge players take the field, their identity remains distinctly their own.
The design team spent significant time understanding the club's pirate theme, local geography, and core values before creating a single sketch. "The nautical and pirate elements weren't just superficial design choices," notes Jake Roberts a club director. "They represent our community identity and the values we instill in our players—courage on the field, commitment to improvement, and connection to our community."
Kits That Tell a Story
The resulting uniform collection tells Porter Ridge's story through thoughtful design elements that connect to both the club's identity and its physical surroundings.
Home Kit: The primary uniform incorporates the club's signature colors—purple, black, and gold—featuring a dynamic wavy pattern that reinforces the nautical theme. The shorts display the "PR" initials in a custom pirate-inspired typeface that was developed specifically for the club. Perhaps most significantly, the club's motto, "Courage, Commitment, Community," appears proudly on the back neck of the jersey, reminding players of their core values every time they suit up.
Away Kit: The alternate uniform continues the maritime theme with a repeating pattern incorporating the club's pirate logo and "PR" initials. This silver and gold design is paired with steel-colored shorts trimmed in purple and gold, creating a distinctive look that stands out on the road while maintaining brand consistency.
The back neck of all of the jerseys feature the clubs Motto and its emphasis on personal growth, good sportsmanship, self-confidence, and the value of hard work. The club’s philosophy is clear: winning is a byproduct of skillful play, teamwork, and integrity, not an end in itself.
A unique feature on the right sleeve pays homage to Brazilian star Kerlon Souza of Cruzeiro, known for his trademark "drible da foquinha" or seal dribble. This unexpected element adds character while connecting the local club to the global game.
Goalkeeper Kit: Perhaps the most innovative design draws inspiration directly from the local landscape. The goalkeeper uniform showcases a grunge-style wavy graphic inspired by nearby Crooked Creek. Available in two color schemes—emerald green with gold accents or blue with aqua highlights—it symbolizes the club's connection to its natural surroundings while providing the visibility goalkeepers need.
Beyond Design: Amplifying the Club's Story
Admiral's partnership with Porter Ridge extends far beyond producing unique uniforms. Working with a specialized digital agency, Admiral has created a comprehensive content strategy to tell the club's story through multiple channels and media formats.
"A great kit deserves great storytelling," explains Admiral's marketing director. "We brought in professional photographers, videographers, and models to capture the essence of the club and its new identity in a way that resonates with current members and attracts new ones."
This multimedia approach has created assets that Porter Ridge will use across their social media platforms, website, and community outreach. Professional photography sessions captured action shots of players in the new kits, while video content documented the design inspiration and connection to the club's values. The resulting content has dramatically expanded the club's reach.
The storytelling approach has transformed what could have been a simple uniform update into a comprehensive brand identity campaign. Local newspapers featured the club's new look, regional soccer publications highlighted the innovative design process, and even national soccer outlets took notice of the unique designs and thoughtful connections to club values.
Sustainable Production Meets Community Values
The partnership's success extends beyond aesthetics. Admiral's sustainable production approach aligns perfectly with Porter Ridge's community-focused values.
Using their innovative Admiral ID platform, the designs were digitally optimized to minimize waste during production. The manufacturing process utilizes recycled fabrics, recycled sublimation paper, and water-based inks to reduce environmental impact. Even the packaging is made from recycled materials.
